The ID2 Meth Scanner
The ID2 Meth Scanner is a handheld, battery-operated scanner for detecting all forms and concentrations of methamphetamine on most surfaces, including skin, clothing, plastics, wood, masonry, and metals.
Principle of Operation:
Photoemission from an optically excited surface is used to detect minute quantities of methamphetamine. This patented device (US Patent #7,154,102 and patents pending) uses an energy source within the instrument to provide optical excitation at the appropriate wavelength and the ID2's detector senses the resulting photoemission.
